We all know that bring up a child is really no child’s play. Every child has ample energy, eagerness and the ability to learn but we fail to tap this for the best as busy mothers. So here I thought of jotting down some easy parenting tips to keep a child busy while you are handling your daily chores: A Lesson in Cleanliness A child learns about staying clean and hygienic from his own surroundings. Make it a point to keep your home and surroundings neat and tidy. If your child plays and messes the room, include him in the cleaning process till he learns how to organise things. Once he understands the core principles of cleanliness, you may just allow him to clean while you supervise or provide a helping hand here and there. A Lesson in Concentration A child has to learn and grasp things and this means he needs to concentrate. He will learn to concentrate only when he is engaged in such activities that require his utmost attention. Give him a jigsaw puzzle to solve. Do not assist him in between. Do not let him leave the game mid-way. Let him understand the significance of sitting in one place and finishing the task once he has started doing it. Other games that may assist in developing concentration are the Rubix Cube, Carroms, Chess, Chinese Checkers and Scrabble. Parenting Tips | Image Resource : freepik.com A Lesson in Creativity
My parenting tips are useless if they do not include a point on creativity enhancement. Each child has many ideas in those little brains. However, they learn to express slowly and gradually as their creativity skills enhance. You may teach them some of the simple activities such as painting, drawing, modelling with clay or even making some crafts with paper. A Lesson in Exercising Many parents miss out their exercise regime running after their children. What you can actually do is get their company for the many rounds of exercises. Play a round of Badminton or running games with your child. You will surely get the desired exercise for the body while the child also gets necessary company and love. A Lesson in Patience Patience is yet another vital virtue which most people fail to possess. This is because they have never had to wait for anything. As a parent, have the responsibility to make them understand patience by giving them things only when they actually need. Also teach them to wait without getting agitated.
